Giving Friends Part 2

This post will be a little continuation of the “Thats what friends are for” post from a bit ago. Am I the only one that thinks of Kristen Wiig and Rose Byrne singing that song in Bridesmaids??? Hahaha.

Here is a second piece that was in the bag I got from a good friend a couple of weeks ago!! This top was NWT (new with tags attached), and I was able to make it work with my maternity style for the moment.

When I first pulled it out of the bag I was excited because I love all things sparkly, and this top has a nice amount of gold shimmer threaded throughout the pale pink/ blush fabric!! Love. Short and sweet, lets get to it!

Straight out of the shower and into clothes look.

Still just a big ‘ol ball, but it sure is getting heavier ;).

My husband said he liked these because I wasn’t ready for the picture. Also, this is the bag I talk about in the other friends post that my friend had the clothes she gave me in! It does look bigger here, but I love its raw cut edges and sleek look.

I actually took a few seconds to put some accessories on. Watch out now.

Social Network Shopping

SNS? Whaaaat is that? This is when you search on Facebook for local community pages where the surrounding areas post items for sale. Yardsale/ garage sale titled pages, Mom pages, and other specifically titled pages are considered “seller” pages on Facebook. You can join these groups for free, obviously, and watch for posts of items for sale that you may need. Sometimes individuals on these pages give items away for FREE because they do not want the hassle of trying to sell it or maybe it needs some work, and they are not worried about making money off of it.

There are many “Pay it Forward” titled pages in your areas as well. These pages are strictly for giving away items. You are welcome to claim an item that you may need (not too many or too often), but if you truly are not in need then perhaps it would be best to let someone else claim the item, especially if they have been searching or asking about the items on previous posts :). Giving your old items away on these PIF pages is also wonderful so have fun Paying it Forward!

This post will be brief in explaining this post as it is very basic, and explained above! YAY!!!

It has been weather crazy in SWFL lately with one day being freezing cold, the next day pouring rain with flooded parking lots, the next day kind of cold, but not really, then really cold, and then the next day being a breezy, warm day again!!!!

I chose this day to make my husband pit stop and take a photo of this shirt while we were sprinkled on, haha. I love you, Jason!

Baby Bump Style

Normally, I do not have a problem finding clothes to fit or cute clothes in general, but being pregnant is really a challenge when you don’t want to drop hundreds on your maternity style, especially if you can’t. Since I will only be wearing certain pieces for a few months, there is no way I want to spend a fortune on them!!

This means that I am going to try my best to find pieces that will fit now, but that I can still wear for quite a while AFTER the baby is here. Sounds easy, but I have run into a few dead ends in my venture (but at least I have some super cute items for after delivery, lol. My husband swears that was not an accident, but I promise they were πŸ˜‰ ).

I think this outfit is super cute and it is very comfy. I am still getting used to the panel pants though, but I have seen maternity pants with 2-3 inch bands instead of the entire belly panel. I just haven’t wanted to spend retail at Target for them (about $22). Call me cheap; I will agree :D.

Alright, the outfit already!!!

This was our one day of winter in FL and it was a drizzly day so I busted out the rain coat style jacket, and really didn’t even need it for very long. I also decided that makeup was not needed this day, lol.

I’ll start from the top. This is a tunic dress or tunic top, it really doesn’t matter. Tunic just means that it can be worn as either or with pants or leggings. Some would even wear it solo, but it looks classier with something underneath so you don’t risk a random flash.

I found this top on the Poshmark app which is free to download on your smart phones. I was originally looking for “maternity pants” because on Poshmark you can find new with tag clothes or clothes that were maybe worn once or even new without tags for amazing deals. People are just clearing out their closets and sell to make some extra cash. Some run a business, but I don’t pay much attention to the retailers.

Also, try to find pieces that are going to look flattering on your changing body. Our hormones can be pretty wacko during this time, and the last thing you want are clothes that fit, but do not fit right making you look like something you aren’t (the three letter “C” word).

The same closet (a user uploads their items to sell and it is called a closet) had this tunic that I found after picking out a pair of maternity pants so I did a bundle sale. A bundle means that the user will ship the items all together and most of the time will give a discount for buying more than one item from their closet. This user offered to sell the pants and the tunic for $10 which was the price for the tunic alone. Regular priced priority shipping is 4.99, but I purchased during the $1.99 discounted shipping time frame.

These particular pants are from a different bundle which I will talk about later.

(These pants are the full panel style maternity pants. While they are comfortable, I am still at a point to where they kind of slide down as I walk because I don’t fill out the panel fully (even folded down). These are a size 4 (what I mainly wore not pregnant) and they fit fuller throughout the hips for when you’re growing throughout pregnancy.

On top of that great deal for like new clothes (maybe worn once or twice), I actually got them for FREE.

Here’s how:

I also have a closet on Poshmark where I sell clothes I no longer wear or post clothes for others or sell other pieces I find. I can either send my earnings to my bank account or let the funds sit in my account and use toward purchases.

I also had credits from referrals. Right now credits are DOUBLE for when you sign up as a new user on the app (NOT website). Use code BOJQX and get $10 dollars to spend toward your first purchase!!! If you catch discounted shipping, your item could be for free.

Since I had not transferred any funds yet and had some credits sitting, I was able to get this outfit (and more) for basically FREE :).

HURRY to get your free $10 before they change it back. I know when I see things like this, I jump on them. Enjoy, and feel free to post your finds!!!

I was even able to use part of my funds to get a friend an item!!!

Tunic: Forever 21- Poshmark app- Listed for $10- used credits- paid $0

Coat: Gap- Goodwill- 5.99 (like new)

Maternity jeans: Oh Baby by Motherhood- Poshmark app- 9.00- used credits for bundle purchase- paid $0

Wedges: Black suede wedges- Goodwill- 4.99 (Never worn)

Since this top is not a maternity top, I will be able to wear it after the baby :). The pants I can rePosh which means I can list them on Poshmark and resell them or donate them to a mom to be in need!
